El Autor / The Author
Carlos MarÃa Federici
Montevideo, 1941.

Montevideo, 1941. Author of many novels and short stories about crime, science fiction and horror, Federici was also artist and writer of comic books. In 1968 he published the strip Barry Coal, notorious for being starred by a black detective. In 1982 he published the space adventure Jet Galvez. Before that, hw published Dinkensten, an unfinished homage to (obviously) Frankenstein and the EC Comics era. More recently, by the end of the 20th century, he drew and wrote Military Tribunal in the now extint Balazo Magazine (Uruguay). In his body of work is allways present the same factor: the look back to the golden era of comic books, when kids bought it for pennies. Today, we find a new meaning in that spirit and It was only a matter of time to rescue it.
